Every CN manager I've asked has said that you get 2 bags on a 2 week cruise. It appears that the perks are per cruise, regardless of length. We were just on a 15 day as Platinum and got one bag laundry per person and the two specialty meals.

Galveston to Caribbean Weekend Getaways

Some people also don't want to be around the same crowd for that long. Any insight on the pros/cons of doing a b2b or a 2 week cruise, we’ve never  cruised longer than 8 days. You still have one weekend day to play with before heading back to work on Monday. If you want to spend a little longer in Alaska, it’s time to choose your own adventure.

2 week cruise

Note that Disney cruises to the Bahamas or Mexico are priced much higher than other cruise lines. Pricing for a three-night Disney Mexico cruise starts just shy of $1,000 per person for an inside cabin and a three-night Bahamas cruise from $625 per person. Still, it's cheaper than a weeklong Disney cruise. I'm currently seeing three-night Bahamas cruises from $129 per person, based on two people sharing an inside (windowless) cabin. That breaks down to $43/night for transportation, food, accommodations and entertainment for one person ($86/night for a couple).

A respite for sun and sand seekers, the Bahamas is home to light blue beaches, translucent underwater caves, a rich royal heritage and exclusive private isles. These can all be found throughout a beautifully scattered string of 700 islands. Cruise to the Bahamas to take a dive and witness a majestic coral garden at Orange Bowl reef, hang out at ultra-luxurious resorts like Atlantis, and shop resort fashion in Paradise Island or Nassau. Just because it is so beautiful, vast, and safer to explore does not call for this "all or nothing" approach.

Day 1 is somewhat shot and the services aren't really set up to do much in US ports for B2B passengers. To me, you really get almost an extra day of vacation with the 2 week cruise option compared with the B2B option. On one of our longer cruises (a 62 day HAL voyage) we did not repeat a single port. But I still remember the Maitre'd making the point that over 62 days there would not be any repeated menus (although there were obviously various menu offerings that did appear more then once). So, there really are opportunities to spend many weeks on a single ship going from A to B  with little port, food  et al. repetition AND without having to embark-disembark multiple times/ships. I assume you’re aware that not all cruise lines operate based on 7-14 day mostly repetitive (and mostly “round trip”) itineraries.

Pick up your Hertz rental car downtown bright and early so you can avoid backtracking out to the airport. Alternatively, rent a car for the day and drive yourself into the Yukon. Avis has a shockingly expensive location in Skagway, but it’s still cheaper than the train. This guide does a great job summarizing wildlife viewing spots. Another great option for Juneau is hiking the Perseverance Trail.

Having to debark/embark again is a waste of time. Also, your 14 day routes are more likely to have access to "less common" ports. For example, I looked at a random 14 day Caribbean route. Included Aruba, Bonaire, Cartagena, Panama Canal, and Limon (to name a few). That's going to be a tough route to find in 2 B2Bs as the ships can only travel so far in 7 days. The best way to see the park is by heading onto a small ship, yes, even after disembarking from a week-long cruise.

You’ll still have a great time — I got soaked and loved it anyway — but get some tips on how to hike in the rain. If you have free time in Vancouver before you board the ship, my two favorite spots were Stanley Park and the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden. Since southeast Alaska looks and feels different from interior Alaska, it’s worth your time to do both places. Travel Leader, Jeffrey Cleary is an experienced Cruise Specialist and Distinctive Voyages Host.

For interior Alaska — Anchorage, Denali, and Fairbanks being the best known spots — you really need a car. Traveling by road lets you stop off at incredible places and stop to view wildlife when you see it. FYI - you don't need a voucher for laundry, you just put the info on the bag and laundry list. And yes, I realize they give you something that looks like a ticket but if you read the fine print it says nothing about including it (which I've never done). Explore these bragworthy destinations — and book your 7 night Cruise on Royal Caribbean today. If you want to unwind, head to Chill Island on the east side of CocoCay. Or visit the Oasis Lagoon or the Thrill Waterpark to get on the side of adventure.

If you're looking to hop a ship for a few nights, you can't just sail from anywhere to anywhere. Thanks to the complicated Passenger Vessel Services Act, foreign-flagged cruise ships cannot leave port, sail in circles with their casinos, shops and spas open, then return back to port two nights later. Ships need to call in another country before heading back – which limits where you can sail on a weekend cruise.

Weekend trips let you get away without missing too much work or school — but what if your preferred escape is a cruise? I'm here to tell you that weekend cruises are a real thing and can be a wonderful way of getting your ship fix when you're short on time. If you love top-deck thrills, world-class dining and show-stopping entertainment — you’ll love a week long cruise on our groundbreaking Quantum Class ships. First, there is something to be said to just be able to plant yourself somewhere and relax (while still being able to go all around).
